We reach Blakey Lane, with the stone road bridge over Cod Beck a few yards on our right, and cross the road with care to continue along the bank. Starting from the Millgate car park in Thirsk, we make our way along Millgate into the market place and then turn left into Finkle Street.Īfter crossing the road bridge, we turn right at the garage and follow the pathway through a series of kissing gates - with the Cod Beck close at hand on our right. FROM Thirsk’s bustling market place to the curious setting of World’s End, there are many contrasts on this circuit around a corner of Herriot Country.
